    Run for Excellence

    All Eagle Hills’ students, parents, and staff, please join us for the Twenty-ninth Annual West Ada School District’s Run for Excellence on Saturday, April 25th at 10:00 a.m. at Meridian High School. This annual Fun Run/Walk is a non-competitive 1 mile event to promote fitness and fun. Registration forms are attached to this newsletter. The cost is only $10.00 which includes a cool neon yellow with black logo wicking shirt, an authentic medal when you cross the finish-line (for kids on- ly), and after-event treats. The school with the most student and staff participants will receive a traveling trophy to keep at their school the following year. This is a great family event! Please fill out and return registration forms with a check made out to Eagle Hills Elementary to Mr. Satterfield. Additional forms can be picked up from Mr. Satterfield.     Eagle Hills Elementary is a welcoming, upbeat neighborhood school located in a small, family oriented community. Eagle Hills Elementary opened its doors for the first time in the 1978-79 school year. Eagle Hills serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school sits on Ranch Drive in a residential neighborhood of Eagle, Idaho. The school consists of a main building with classrooms, gymnasium/cafeteria, music room, library, computer lab, and 7 portable classrooms. The school currently serves 605 students. Eagle Hills is a well-rounded school where it is a priority to meet individual needs. The students are accepting of other students.     Eagle Hills has a resource room and an extended resource room. Qualified students for the gifted and talented program are bused once a week according to grade level to the Seven Oaks GT Center. The school has a full-time school counselor. We also have a nurse and/or health technician on site.

    Students at Eagle Hills Elementary have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extra curricular activities. Some are academic, athletic, but all are for fun! Predominately, these activities are led by staff members within our building. Most activities are open enrollment, yet some are limited in size or offered to specific grade levels. Below are listed some of the activities available at our school.

    Honor Choir, Orchestra, Wellness Program, Rocket Club, Robotics Club, Computer Programming Club, Run for Excellence, Jump Rope Club, Student Council, and Yearbook
