To protect staff and students from the spread of the highly contagious Delta variant of the coronavirus, West Ada School District is temporarily requiring all staff, students and visitors to wear masks - beginning Sept. 10- when in a classroom and/or when social distancing is not possible, thus suspending all mask opt outs.
Peregrine Elementary is a kindergarten through fifth grade accredited public school in a fast, growing suburban community of Meridian, Idaho.
The school was opened in the fall of 2000 to relieve crowding in three elementary schools. We follow a traditional school calendar, but open up our school in the summer for programs by the district.
Our school offers students rigor in academics and varied opportunities to participate in community service, extracurricular activities, and technology. We are currently one of the few school-wide digital buildings in the West Ada School District. We utilize a blended model of integrating technology into daily instruction.
The staff at Peregrine uses a collaborative model for goal setting and planning instruction. They bring experience and expertise to the classroom and are continually furthering their own education. Review of achievement data and discipline patterns to improve school performance are an integral part of our school culture. The staff makes deliberate efforts to provide students a safe, encouraging, and respectful learning environment.
Parents at Peregrine are active and supportive in the classroom, in fundraising, and at home. They are truly partners in the education of their children. Our students are well behaved, excited to learn, and the primary focus of our decision making. Peregrine has received approved accreditation status from the State of Idaho along with receiving National Title I Distinguished School Awards in the 2010-2011 school year.
At Peregrine we believe we are here for academic success and personal growth for all students.
