    Dear Parents of _________________________________,

     Greetings and hope you’re having a great year! As part of Pathways program, we review students’ reading skills and offer extra support to those students who have demonstrated gaps. Your student was identified as needing some extra support in one or more of these reading skills:   

    • Comprehension
    • Fluency
    • Vocabulary
    • Phonics

       Pathways created an intervention program which will be offered 40 minutes every other day (half of a period). This Reading Intervention time is funded by Title I and students are taken from non-core classes.  The goal is to develop their level of mastery in the above skills to help them reach grade level reading. Students’ mastery of these areas of reading is monitored closely and when the student is reading at grade level, they will be exited from the Reading Intervention program.
