Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Jessica Higer

I am one of the new teachers at Meridian High School.  Last year I taught at Rocky Mountain High School and Centennial High School.

I am an Ag teacher which means that I get to work with students to teach them about agriculture but more importantly how agriculture effects students and their lives so they can become better citizens in their community.  My goal in each class is to help students become better people, and I work on that through teaching agriculture.  Each student is unique and has many talents that they already know or have yet to discover them, and I want to encourage them to become the best they can be!

A little bit about me.  I grew up in Idaho on a small farm and raised sheep and beef.  I went to school in Illinois where I played soccer for 4 years and earned a degree in Biology with a second major in Education and a minor in Zoology.  Needless to say I like science.  I have since moved back to the motherland and am finally back in Idaho!

I love being outside!  From playing sports, camping, fishing, hiking, shooting, or even just taking pictures, I love being outside and doing things.  I am a very active person and enjoy begin involved with many different things such as church, sports, FFA, marksmanship club, 4-H or other events.  I still play soccer and am always looking to play some kind of sport.

If you have any questions about me, please feel free to ask.  The best way to get ahold of me is through email since I am not always by a phone.

Thank you for letting me teach your student!
