Ms. Stephanie Meyet
Dear Students and Families,
I am so excited to welcome you to second grade at Pioneer Elementary School of the Arts. Second grade is a very important year for you. Our class will be learning about many exciting things. We will be exploring animals and weather in science, creating visual art, and reading and writing about so many interesting topics.
I believe in fostering a close classroom community and creating a safe place. We learn, grow, make mistakes and try new things in second grade . I will work with you to build a growth mindset classroom with many arts integrated learning experiences.
This is my second year teaching at Pioneer. I am thrilled to be part of an amazing teaching team and school. My husband and I have four children and three of them attend school at Pioneer. As a family we love to play in the river, have dance parties, and go hiking. Some of my favorite things to do include; playing piano, trying a new restaurant, playing games, and reading a great book.
Our room numbers is S-2.
I am looking forward to our year in second grade together. I can't wait to meet you!
For the grown-ups!

You do NOT need to bring the following school supply:
If you are interested in making other contributions to the day to day functions of our classroom, the following items are very helpful, but are in no way required.
extra number 2 pencils
headphones are preferred over ear buds
One last thing, we will be dismissed from the music room area on Wednesdays and Fridays as our music class will be held at the very end of the day. You may want to meet at the flag pole (front of the school) or on the side playground next to the new gym on those days.
FYI--I will not start the volunteer process until September and will send out information on that later in August.
