• Free and reduced applications are not shared between school districts. If a child transfers from another district in which they were free or reduced, parents will need to re-apply when registering a child in our district. Parents are responsible for any charges which incur during the transition.

Free and reduced applications must be completed annually even if a student was free or reduced the previous year. If applications are not received by the 30 day deadline, parents will be held responsible for any charges until a new application is completed.

We encourage parents to complete applications for free and reduced meals online. At the beginning of the year, we receive many phone calls. They will be returned as soon as possible.

If you receive Idaho-issued food stamps, your child qualifies for free meals at school. A notification letter will be sent out from our office. However, if you do not receive a letter from us by August 20th, please call our office at 208-855-4575 or email anderson.michellek@westada.org to provide your SNAP number. This will prevent any interruption of benefits at the start of the year. (You do not need to complete this application - call the number above). Cases outside the state of Idaho must provide documentation.

Applications for the 2018-19 school year can be submitted beginning August 1, 2018.
