The first practice for cross country will be on Monday, Aug. 19, 2019 at 3:00. The first practice will meet in the cafeteria for a brief meeting with parents and then we will go out and run. Practice will be every day that week and then practice will be after school when school begins. The athlete must have purchased an activity card ($22.25) and paid the district participation fee ($90) in order to run in the first meet. The athlete will need to have good running shoes, shorts, shirt and hat if wanted. We also recommend the runners bring a water bottle so we can stay hydrated. The home cross country meets on Sept. 10 and Sept. 26 will be run at Settlers Park, on the corner of Ustick and Meridian Roads. The other four away meets are on the campus of the hosting school. The district meet on Oct. 3 will be run at Kleiner Park. In all meets, the girls will run first and will start as close to 4:00 pm as possible. The distance for middle school cross country is 1 1/2 miles. We can always use help with our home meets. It takes 2 or 3 people to run a meet and if you are willing to help let Coach Core know. Thanks.Sawtooth gear will be available from this page on Aug. 1.
