    Course Description

    Creating visually pleasing two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork requires an understanding of form and function, and the application of specialized skills specific to mediums. Throughout this course we will explore art techniques focusing on the elements and principles of design, through projects that may include collage, pencil, colored pencil, paint, and printmaking. Art History study will include the art movements: Op Art and Abstract Art. Throughout the semester we will focus on the Elements and Principles of Design, each will carry through into the next combining and applying them into each project.

    This course and Drawing are a prerequisite for all other art classes including pottery.
