A little about me...
I am an unapologetic college sports fan, who enjoys music and concerts, and loves her two 4-legged fur babies! Most importantly, I love teaching Second Graders! Your child is in a magical stage of development. It is a privilege to be a part of their life during this time. They will grow so much this year--- socially, emotionally, and academically. Fundamental to my teaching philosophy is creating a community of learners where all children are valued and view themself as an active contributor to their own learning and the learning of others. Acknowledging everyone has something to offer and everyone has something to gain is the heartbeat of our classroom. I have a responsibility to guide every child to discover, celebrate, and feel safe to freely share their strenths and talents with others. It is my intention this year to nurture your child's growth mindset while teaching them how their brain works, and the active role they have in how they learn. My goals are to make learning visible, meaningful, challenging, fun, and ultimately have your child embrace learning as a process; one that is not neccessarily easy, which is normal and okay~ but definitely a process that is very worthwhile!
I look forward to working in partnership with you as we help your child sow their seeds of knowledge!
