Meet Mrs. Roth

Welcome to kindergarten!  Kindergarten is such a fun time for children and parents.  I am excited about this upcoming school year and look forward to making it a successful experience for everyone.  This will be my fourteenth-year teaching in the West Ada School District.  My sixth year teaching at EESA.  I feel blessed to be a part of the staff at Eagle and look forward to continuing my teaching career in this great community.

I have been married fourteen years to my high school sweetheart, Joe.  We have a very loving and bright daughter named Brynnleigh who is ten years old.  She is in fifth grade at EESA.  We also have a happy, full of energy just five-year-old son named Carson.  As far as our other children… We have an adorable two-year-old golden doodle named Winston and a feisty, independent cat named Allie.  Our family enjoys any time we spend together.  We especially love attending church, Brynnleigh & Carson’s soccer games, hiking, boating, jumping on the trampoline, golf, family game nights, gardening, time with friends and as a former Boise State football player's sister, cheering on the Boise State Broncos!  I know I will be hearing much from your child and I look forward to learning about your family this year.

Kindergarten is fun and uniquely different from any other grade.  In kindergarten your child will learn how to be in school; to listen, follow directions, sit and work, raise hand, participate in discussions, take responsibility for his/her choices, to share, take turns, and to be academically prepared for first grade.   Regarding our learning this year, please refer to the West Ada School Districts website to see what your child will be learning in kindergarten.  Once on the districts website go to:

-Academics

-Curriculum

-Elementary School

-Kindergarten

Common Core standards begin in kindergarten; this is significantly different then when you went to kindergarten!  Please familiarize yourself with what will be expected by your student at the end of each semester but most importantly by the end of the year.

This is a partnership between myself and you as we journey through this year with your child.  I believe each child learns through various ways and at their unique pace. Tuition kindergarten is a wonderful opportunity for our students and families.  I look forward to the year of growth and memories with your child.

Warmly,

Mrs. Roth
