• Unit Overview:

In our Architecture and Design Unit, students will be focusing on the main subject of physics and how it applies to movement (velocity, acceleration, energy) and the designing aspect of having a plan, knowing what materials are needed, and how that plan may have to be changed. Group collaboration plays a large factor in this unit.

Students will be assigned undertakings with specific goals in mind, like creating a track that takes a specific amount of time to complete, creating a tower with the fewest building materials, and exploring the value of aesthetics working alongside functionality.

This is a very hands-on unit with multiple avenues of student exploration.
