Ms. Tina Young
I am thrilled to be a part of this learning community. I am a former second grade teacher with work experience in mental health and school counseling. I earned by Master's degree in Counseling from Boise State University in 2013. I have emphasis in both School Counseling and Addictions.
In the school setting I primarily apply Solution Focused Brief Therapy, but I utilize many therapy techniques with students. One of my favorite things about being a school counselor is teaching emotional/social lessons in the classroom. I am eager to help our students learn to be self aware and self motivated.
If you have a concern about your student please don't hesitate to contact me. I am at McMillan on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Feel free to call me at 208-855-4477, or to send me an e-mail at: young.tina@westada.org.
