    School Pride:

    The Andrus mascot is the Ambassador and our colors are navy blue and maroon. Our school motto is, “Leading the Way to a Better World”. Our school is named in honor of Idaho’s former governor and school advocate Cecil D. Andrus.

    Basic – Student does not yet demonstrate competency on the grade level achievement target.

    Strategic - Student demonstrates inconsistent competency on the grade level achievement target.

    Proficient – Student demonstrates consistent competency on the grade level achievement target.

    Advanced – Student demonstrates consistent competency on achievement targets above their grade level.

    School and Staff Recognition:

    Kindergarten teacher Shari Carter is in her second year as Top Teaching blogger for Scholastic.

     

    School Programming:

    • Maker space is hosted every Wednesday morning.
    • During the 2016-2017 school year, 19,604 books were checked out of the Andrus library and 274 students earned a free pass to Roaring Springs for reading at least 600 minutes between January and Spring Break.
    • The Andrus school garden has 29 beds with a large variety of produce grown. Our newest addition is our beautiful greenhouse funded by Lowe’s Toolbox for Education program.
    • During the 2016-2017 school year, teachers were awarded almost $9,000 through the Thank-a-Teacher Program offered by Education Foundation of West Ada School District.
