Fast Forward Program (Funds)

  • The Fast Forward program provides every student attending an Idaho public school an allocation of $4,125.00 to use towards Advanced Opportunities in grades 7-12. The program was expanded by the Legislature in 2016 through the passing of Senate Bill 1292.  Career and Technical Education (CTE) students can use the funding to pay for certain CTE exams.

    Current Data (School Year 2018-19): 

    • CNA Exams = 216 exams taken,  $10,400 approved funds

    • EMT Exams=62 exams taken, $4,509 approved funds

    • Pharmacy Technician=50 exams taken, $6,416 approved funds

    • Auto Desk=37 exams taken, $2,205 approved funds

    • ETC Four Stroke=5 exams taken, $245 approved funds

    • CPR=2 exams taken, $130 approved funds

    • ServSafe Food Handler Certification=3 exams taken, $45 approved funds

     A total of 271 CTE exams for a total of $18,555.50
