Ms. Christine Jayne

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Christine Jayne. This is my first-year teaching at River Valley. I am very excited to be working with such an outstanding team of professional educators. I have enjoyed working in the West Ada School District at Discovery Elementary over the last five years. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Art and a master’s degree in Early Childhood-Elementary Education from Southern Oregon University.

In addition to my education, I have 17 years of teaching experience. I have taught Elementary Level Art, Second Grade, Kindergarten, Third Grade and Fifth Grade. I have also taught Study Skills for the College of Western Idaho. My passion falls at the primary school level. I have always wanted to teach First Grade. I am thrilled to have this opportunity

I have three pre/teen-teen daughters. Regina is 17 and will be a Senior at Rocky Mountain High School, Marie is 14 and will be a Freshman at Renaissance High School and Roberta is 11 and will be a Sixth Grader at Heritage Middle School. They really keep me busy.

I have lived all over the country from Minnesota, Oregon, Connecticut, New Mexico and Texas. I enjoy reading, cooking, camping and quilting. I love living in the Treasure Valley it’s a great place to call home.

I believe that building relationships with students, parents, and staff to be one of the most important things I do each year.  I want to instill a love of life-long learning within each of my students. I love teaching! I can’t imagine doing anything else. Thank you all so much for sharing your children with me.
