Verification of Compliance (VOC)
For drivers education, a Verification of Compliance (VOC) letter is required by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in order to process a student's driving permit and/or drivers license. VOCs may be requested by students and parents, in the front office, using the blue VOC request form, or electronically CLICK HERE.
The following information will be required in order to process a student's request:
- Full legal name
- Current address
- Home phone
- Parent/Guardian cell phone
Please be advised that student information in PowerSchool MUST MATCH the student's home address when reporting to the DMV. The student's information in PowerSchool will be used by office staff to process the VOC request. If the information in PowerSchool and on a student's VOC DOES NOT MATCH the home address reported to the DMV, the DMV will deny the request for a learners permit or drivers license and require another appointment.
Verification of Compliance letters may only be picked up via hard copy in the CHS front office. The DMV requires a wet signature and school stamp that is not accepted via fax or e-mail/PDF. VOC letters will ready for pick up in the front office within 48 hours of the submitted request (school days ONLY). Please plan ahead! The front office is unable to process immediate and same day requests or fax/e-mail VOCs directly to the DMV.
