2014 Hall of Fame Inductees

  • Stephanie Chi – Class of 1994

    • Stephanie was honored as All-Conference and All-State all four years at Centennial High while competing in Tennis. Stephanie was a four time State Champion for the Patriots while amassing a record of 233-0, never losing a set.  While being honored as a Prince All-American four years in a row Stephanie also contributed on the basketball court helping CHS to the 1993 State Championship.  Stephanie was selected to the All-Conference and All-State teams in 1993 & 1994 in basketball. 
    • #1 recruit in the nation in 1994 and took a full scholarship to play at UCLA. Honored PAC-10 Freshman of the year 1995.  Stephanie was a two time All-American in singles and doubles while attending UCLA.  After turning professional Stephanie won both singles titles and a doubles title with her sister Jane who was one of last year’s inaugural Hall of Fame class inductees.
    • Stephanie has remained active in coaching tennis since 1999, helping guide CHS to a State Title in 1999 and continuously giving back to her sport through instructing others. Stephanie lives and works in L.A. currently as a social media/marketing/PR Executive for ABS by Allen Schwartz Co. in women’s luxury clothing.  Stephanie is married to PJ Park, a four time College All-American Tennis player himself.
    • Best CHS Memory: Playing powder puff during homecoming week at Centennial High School.

    Danny Nelson – Class of 2001

    • Dan Nelson is also a UCLA Bruin graduate being honored tonight! Dan competed here at CHS in football from 1997-2000.  Earning both All-Conference and All-State honors Dan helped the Patriots to a State Championship in 1999.  Dan was also the Idaho State Silver Gloves Champion at super heavyweight in 1999 & 2000.
    • Dan joined the Marines after graduation and served his country then came back home and coached football here at Centennial in 2002-03. After getting the bug to play again in 2003, Dan played one season of football at Arizona Western College for coach Bob O'Meara ... He earned first-team All-ACCAC and WSFL honors ... Named an honorable mention Junior College All-American Dan was rated the No. 16 Junior College linebacker by collegefootballnews.com.  
    • Dan went on to finish his football career at UCLA on full scholarship as a team captain in 2005-2006 at inside linebacker and fullback. He also earned Pac-10 All-Academic honors in 2006.
    • Married to the former Kacey Bowen  Dan re-enlisted in the Army following graduation and currently serves his country as an Operational Detachment Commander in the 19th Special Forces Group (Green Berets), and as an Idaho State Police Officer.  Dan earned the Bronze Star in a deployment in 2009... Dan lists his biggest thrill in sports as winning the Idaho State championship in 1999 with the Patriots!  Hobbies include camping and music ...
