Mrs. Shari Setter

I am excited to return to the family at Idaho Fine Arts Academy.  I have been the Special Education teacher at Barbara Morgan STEM Academy since 2013, and am starting my second year at IFAA.  I will be on campus on Tuesdays.
I am passionate about working with students who struggle to learn. My life experience prior to becoming a teacher was deeply involved with children with special needs.  I grew up with a profoundly deaf brother, and I have two sons with Autism and a daughter with a cognitive impairment.
Several years ago, I returned to school with a goal to become a middle school math teacher.  As I was finishing my K-8 courses, I was offerred the opportunity to transfer into the special education program.  I jumped at the chance.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northwest Nazarene University in 2013 with my Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education.  I completed my Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and Math from Walden University in December, 2015.
I am married and have 2 sons, 3 daughters, and 1 son-in-law.  My husband and I are active members in our church family and enjoy helping with Challenger Baseball.  Our daughter is, and that means we are, involved in the Idaho Special Olympics.
Due to my schedule, it is best to contact me via email at
