• Morning Snack, Lunches, Water Bottles, and Allergy Awareness

We have several students with severe peanut and tree nut allergies and ask for the snacks and lunches to be peanut and tree nut free in order to keep all students safe. Please see the separate note on snacks and allergy awareness. Thank you for your courtesy and support for keeping all our GT students safe while participating in our program.

In keeping with West Ada’s wellness policy, students will have an opportunity to eat a healthy morning snack from home shortly after their arrival at our center.

Students may bring a lunch from home or order a school lunch at Lake Hazel. If they are ordering a school lunch, students need to let us know upon arrival at our center. School lunch orders are due to the Lake Hazel kitchen by 10 a.m. If a student arrives at our center without a lunch from home, we will order a school lunch for them. We will eat lunch in our classrooms at approximately 11:35 a.m.

We encourage students to bring a water bottle with a spill-proof lid to stay hydrated throughout the day.  We do have a station where they can refill their water bottles if needed. Since we do not have a sink in our classrooms, all other beverages are highly discouraged.
