I want to welcome you and your child to Health class!
Hello, for those of you I have not met yet, my name is Mrs. Loudermilk, and I am your children's health teacher this year. I am excited to partner with your child in learning during this amazing year of growth.
Students - I hope you are well and remembering to practice those hand-washing skills we learned earlier this year. See the attached video for a brief reminder.
A little bit about myself:
I most recently moved here from Bend, Oregon where my husband and I were a very close part of our community. I was blessed to teach 4th, 5th and 6th grades as our own two boys grew up in Bend. I personally enjoy curling up with a good book in my hammock. When the weather is good, I will whitewater raft or float the river at any given opportunity.
My professional training to gain my BA was through Pacific University and I recently graduated with my MEd with Concordia University with endorsements in both Special Education and Reading. This year, I have worked closely with your students to learn many important concepts of Health.
This year we have learned about the important aspects of Physical, Mental and Emotional, as well as Family and Social Health. Many of which we did not realize would have such importance during this time. I miss each and every one of you and hope to see you out and about (with social distancing, of course). To our new students, I want to welcome you. I know this is a difficult time to meet new friends, but hang in there, you have joined an amazing community! Welcome to our new parents as well.
We will be very busy learning and growing throughout the year. It is my absolute pleasure and blessing to help your child review these important health concepts.
Please don't hesitate to contact me should you have any questions. You may reach me by email as I do not have an office or classroom at this time.
