    First we'll complete journal #19 then students will have a work day. This work day can be used to complete the Middle East Study Guide, study for the unit test, complete missing journals, retake quizes, complete missing assignments, etc...

    Today students will complete Journal #17. Then we will take notes and watch videos over Middle East terrorism. Finally we'll have time to work on our Israel/Palestine paper.

    Today students will complete Journal #16. Then we will take notes and watch videos over Iran and their relationship with the United States. We will also take a quiz over Middle Eastern Geography.

    Today students will complete Journal #15. Then we will examine the current conflict in Syria to include the civil war and refugee crisis. The students will be able to locate Syria on a map, identify the current leader of Syria, and discuss and analyze whether or not the United States should authorize air strikes against Syria. We'll take notes and discuss Syria. Students will then have a little time to work on their Israel/Palestine paper.

    Today students will study and examine the Israel and Palestine conflict as they compare and contrast issues from both sides. The students will debate the conflict and come to an individual conclusion of support for either side.

     

    We will complete Journal #14, take notes over the current status of the Israel/Palestine conflict, and watch a video on the conflict from the Israeli perspective and another from the Palestinian perspective. We will then begin a writing assignment where students will present their ideas about how to end the Israeli/Palestinian conflict (Due 3/19 & 3/20).

    Today students will will explore the origins of the Israeli and Palestinian conflict and discover why it continues to be problematic in today’s world.

     

    We will complete Journal #13, take notes over the origins of the Israel/Palestine conflict, and watch a video on the conflict.

    Today students will take a pre-test over the Middle East unit to find out what previous knowledge students already possess. Then we'll complete Journal #11, take notes over the Middle East and have time to work on our Middle East vocabulary and map (due 2/27 & 3/2).
