Adaptive Music is an opportunity for students to explore the world around them through music. Social Skills goals will be reinforced through music and activities that engage each learner. Students will sing, dance, play instruments, and work together to explore the world through music.

It is our intention with Adaptive Music at Victory Middle School to provide each student in the class an opportunity to explore their world through music. Malia Hollowell and Aimee Atkinson work closely together to blend the social skills goals with musical experience. Each students Social Skills goals are incorporated into the lessons and goals for the year. We will be singing, moving, playing instruments, listening, and exploring music in many forms.

The Class Calendar will have overviews of lessons and objectives that you can follow along with if you'd like.  If classes are virtual, we will be having class in Teams. If calsses are in person, we will be meeting in person.

Assessments will be set at the beginning of each semester. Students will be assessed when they are ready and are showing or verbalizing an understanding of the Standards. Once a student shows mastery of a skill, the assessment is completed and will be entered into PowerSchool.

Finals will be given at the end of each semester and will be a culmination project.  The Final will not be a test that the students have to sit down and take, but rather a demonstration of skill (singing, playing, dancing, or explaining what has been learned).
