I graduated from Boise State University in 2004 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Reading. During my first 4 years of teaching, I was a 2nd grade teacher and have been a Title I interventionist for the last 11 years. I have had the privilege of working at Desert Sage Elementary since it opened back in 2006.

Nine years ago, I started teaching at Desert Sage as a SpEd Resource Instructor before switching to my current position as a Title1 Interventionist in 2016. I work with students in small groups and within their classrooms to overcome challenges they have with reading, writing, math and sometimes behaviors. I enjoy thinking outside of the box to help others minimize and resolve their academic challenges while finding and maximizing their strengths in other areas. My favorite part of my job is watching the joy and pride on a student's face after working hard to overcome a challenge, wrestling with it in "the learning pit", and then realizing they CAN do it!

Mrs. Warbis favorite subject to teach is math.  She uses her excellent math skills often while making beautiful quilts.  While math may be her favorite, her can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in and help makes her a great team-player.
