    FIX THE FACE assignment

    Photos for this project will be located in our team account. Files > right-click Download folder > click files to the left > click downloads > left click once and click OK > Extract your folder(make sure you extract it to your creative cloud folder). 

    Once you have completed each photo edit.  Save as a JPEG, create a new page called fix the face. create a photo grid. locate the folder with your images.

    Requirements

    1. We should have the folder downloaded but if you didn't please download it from teams. 
    2. Files > right-click Download folder > click files to the left > click downloads > left click once and click OK > Extract your folder(make sure you extract it to your creative cloud folder).

    4. complete each retouch for each of the 4 photos.
    5. once you are done please save it as a PSD and JPG to the fix the face folder 
    6. go to your Portfolio and create a new page called Fix the Face 
    7. Add the original and edited photos to the new page by using the photo grid.

    2. Gather imagery online that represents at least five things about yourself. Save your photos to the folder 
    3. Create a new document.  8.5 x 11 300 res.  
    4. Select elements from the Internet images to move into your new document.
    5. After you get a good selection with the magic wand or magnetic lasso, remember to go in Mask and refine your selection. If you want soft edges you will go to select>modify>feather.
    6. Move layers around from the layer palette, if you want to change what is on top of another element.
    7. Save your work as a psd until you are completely done with it, and then save it as a Tiff (jpeg) to your folder.
    8. go to file > export > Quick export as PGN
    9. post to your Portfolio. Make sure we use the File Export 
    10. Update your Live site

    Changing the image size 

     

    What you learned: To undo

    • To undo the last thing you did, choose Edit > Undo or press Control+Z (Windows) or Command+Z (macOS).
    • To redo the last thing you did, choose Edit > Redo or again press Control+Z (Windows) or Command+Z (macOS).
    • To undo multiple steps, choose Edit > Step Backward multiple times, or select a step in the History panel.
    • Choose Image > Image Size.
    • Choose Image > Image Size. Resolution in this dialog box means the number of image pixels that will be assigned to each inch when the image is printed.
    • Select the Crop tool in the Tools panel. A crop border appears.
    • Drag any edge or corner to adjust the size and shape of the crop border.
    • Drag inside the crop border to position the image inside the crop border.
    • Drag outside a corner of the crop border to rotate or straighten.
    • Click the check mark in the options bar or press Enter (Windows) or Return (macOS) to complete the crop.

    How to save as a PSD

    File > Save as > Creative Cloud Files > Create a folder > Open Folder > Rename the file name > save as type PSD > Save > Click OK

    How to save as a JPEG(TIFF)

    File > Save as > Creative Cloud Files > Create a folder > Open Folder > Rename the file name > save as type TIFF > Save > Click OK 

     

    Lesson 1 assignment 

    1. Find 5 photos. They can be from the internet or your phone
    2. save your photos to your day 3 lesson 1 folder 
    3. open up photoshop 
    4. Create a new document. 8.5 x 11
    5. Open your 5 photos in photoshop add all 5 photos to your new document.
    6. Create a collage of photos
    7. resize them by using Ctrl + T
    8. save as a PSD and a TIFF(JPEG)

    Introduction to Photoshop 

     

    What you learned: To open and create images

    • In the menu bar, choose File > Open to open existing images.
    • In the menu bar, choose File > New to create a new image from scratch. Select a document preset. You can customize the preset by typing in your own values, like width and height.
    • The menu bar (at the very top) shows the File, Edit, Image, and other menus that give you access to a variety of commands, adjustments, and panels.
    • The options bar (underneath the menu bar) displays options for the tool you are currently working with.
    • Tools panel (on the left) contains tools for editing images and creating artwork. Similar tools are grouped together. You can access related tools in a group by clicking and holding a tool in the panel.
    • Panels (on the right) include Color, Layers, Properties, and other panels that contain a variety of controls for working with images. You can find the full list of panels under the Window menu.
    • The document window (in the middle) displays the file you’re currently working on. Multiple open documents show up in tabs in the Document window.
    • Close image: Choose File > Close.
    • The Zoom tool is located in the Tools panel. Change from Zoom In to Zoom Out in the options bar.
    • The Hand tool, also located in the Tools panel, allows you to pan around a large or zoomed-in image.
    • Choose File > Save or File > Save As.
    • Saving in Photoshop format (.psd) will retain layers, type, and other editable Photoshop properties. It’s best to save your image in PSD format while you’re still working on it.
    • Saving in JPEG (.jpg) or PNG (.png) format will save as a standard image file that can be shared, opened by other programs, and posted online. When you’re finished editing, save a copy in one of these formats too.
