Business Management Pathway

  • In the West Ada Business Management program, students will receive a broad overview of the dynamic activities associated with the professions of business & marketing.  Throughout this pathway, students will gain skills and knowledge in entrepreneurship, starting a business, supply and demand concepts, functions of management and how goals of an organization are accomplished through the effective use of people and other resources. 

    Upon commencing the pathway, students will graduate with a deeper understanding related to the ownership and management a business, possibly with a plan related to their area of entrepreneur interest.   

    Pathway Course Sequence:

    • One of the following:
      9th or 10th grade
      • Business Essentials
      • Computer Applications I
      • Computer Applications II
    • One of the following:
      10th or 11th grade
      • Accounting I A & B
      • Personal Finance
      • Sports/Entertainment Marketing
    • Principals of Business Management and Business Ownership Entrepreneurship
      11th or 12th grade

    According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of business management analysts are projected to grow 11 % from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations.

    Because of a competitive market, demand for consulting services is expected to increase as organizations seek ways to improve efficiency and control costs.
