    Hello parents and students,

Fresh air and positive vibes is what we all need! We have all been working hard, so I hope you all venture out this weekend for a hike or a bike ride. Enjoy the weekend!

We have been busy in 5th grade! Math grades from our test this week are posted. We are wrapping up multi-digit multiplication and testing later this week.

Other grades have also been updated. Please check to see if your student is missing any work. Most students are working hard and keeping up with all assignments.

    Mrs. Laney's Newsletter              September 10, 2021

Wow! Two weeks have come and gone quickly! We are getting a lot done and are working hard to get even more accomplished! This is a great class and I am looking forward to what we can achieve together!!

    Information-

Working from home- If your student is absent due to illness or vacation, remind them to check TEAMS for an agenda or assignment to complete.

Homework- First couple week of homework was turned in and some students did a fantastic job with thorough answers and challenged themselves to try other reading responses other than only summaries. Some students struggled to complete the reading logs or lost them before Friday. I am hoping to see improvements this week.

Some students and parents have asked about Math, we don't plan on Math homework unless it is to study for a test. I highly encourage KhanAcademy.org for Math practice, but it is optional.

    Resources-Math

Students know how to log in to these sources and have their log-ins and passwords.

KhanAcademy.org (standards based lessons to support, review, or extend what is going on in the classroom.)

    xtramath.org (for fact fluency)
