NEWS FROM Mrs. Byers
I am very happy to announce after many medical delays, I will be reporting to work on October 15th. I can’t express how delighted I am to finally be able to meet my students and begin our year together. It will be wonderful to meet all you parents, also! Be looking for information about upcoming conferences being held in a couple of weeks.
I have just been informed by West Ada School District that for safety reasons, I may not return to Ponderosa until I can walk on my own. Therefore, my substitute for my remaining leave will be Mary Frances Booth. Mrs. Booth is currently the Kindergarten teacher for the AM session so she will be very familiar with not only the curriculum, but also the students. The kiddos sure have been troopers throughout the changes. Thank you for the kindness, patience, and support you have shown me. I am certainly ready to begin my year!
It sounds like the school year in Room 6 is off to a great start. Mrs. Ingersoll has told many nice things about the class. I'm so excited to meet everyone. If you have brought in the suggested supplies from the District, thank you! If you are not sure what your child needs, you can still go to the District website for information.
You may be hearing about upcoming grade level meetings with parents. I have been told by my doctor that I will be returning to school on September 17th. After I return, I will send out an e-mail letting you know when I will be having my parent meeting. I appreciate your patience, support, and kind words I have been receiving. This is definitely not the way I like to start a new year.
I am hoping that I might be able to stop by and quickly meet the students before my actual return date.
Looking forward to a great year!!
