Hello BMSA Students and Families,
It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of Barbara Morgan S.T.E.M. Academy. BMSA families and patrons lead the way in supporting our students, dedicating countless amounts of time and service to the betterment of our students' education. BMSA students are the heart of it all and I am so impressed with their ingenuity, perseverance and their collaborative spirit.
I have a passion for education and I believe in fostering strong, positive relationships. As we begin this unprecedented school year at BMSA, know that I am here for you. I look forward to meeting each student and family. As we plan for face-to-face and/or remote instruction, our staff will continue to collaborate with one another in planning to provide outstanding educational opportunities for your child/children, including STEM and project based learning opportunities. We will continue to improve on our instructional practices, increasing technology based programming and will continue to look at ways to bring in hands-on activities.
In the meantime, I would love to keep the tradition alive of sharing our successes and the positive things we celebrate. On the television in the lobby of our school and on our website, photos and stories of perseverance, kindness and friendship are shared through photographs. If you have a photo your child would like to share depicting them achieving a feat, sharing kindness, engineering something cool, or something they are proud of, please email the photo to me.
On a personal note, I am an Idaho native, born and raised in Boise. After graduating from Capital High School, I attended Boise State University, where I met my husband, Patrick Wright. We just celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary and are soon to be empty-nesters. Our daughter, Emily, just graduated from Meridian High School and is about to begin her college journey at Idaho State University. Our son, Ethan, is beginning his Senior year at MHS and has plans to join the Air Force upon graduation. We love exploring Idaho's wilderness, camping and fishing frequently.
