Mrs. Moreno

Hi Students and their Families!

I am excited to be back at Heritage this year teaching Positive Behavior Intervention and Resource!  I find much joy and fufillment by helping my students find their own success through their IEP goal achievements.  I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

I am originally from Southern California, and grew up in a funny-sounding town called Yucaipa. I spent my days horseback riding and playing sports. I am now married with two children and three dogs (Winter, Honey and Dottie). My family and I have lived in Meridian for a little over 2 years now. My two sons, who are both in middle school, are students within the West Ada School District. I have worked in education for many years in a variety of roles: school counselor, school librarian, preschool teacher, long-term substitute, paraprofessional and now as a certified teacher. I love being a teacher and couldn't imagine doing anything else. I completed my B.S. Degree in Psychology at California Baptist University where I competed on our college swim team. Many important life lessons came from putting hard work into my studies and also into the pool. I am dual-certified in All Subjects (K-8) and also Exceptional Child Generalist Credential (K-12). I love dogs, plants, and most all to learn new things!

I'm so excited for this year with my students! We will have some fun and challenging tasks to help us reach our goals. Our class goal will be to work together to have a fantastic and successful school year. I plan on working closely with each of my students to help identify their strengths, develop new skills and assist them in discovering who they are now and who they want to become.

Above all, in my class I want to emphasize that we are all learners and we are all teachers. Every year, I look forward to learning from my students as much as I intend to teach them. Our class motto is "have courage and be kind".
