Mrs. Nicole Carter

Hello and welcome to kindergarten!  It is my honor and privilege to be your child's teacher.  I have been an educator since 2003 and it is my dream job!  I wanted to become a teacher since the first grade.  Although I had forgotten that first aim and chased other aspirations for a time.  When I came to the realization that the start of my first career was not what I desired to do for the long-haul I was reminded of my first longing, to become a teacher.  I had the best first grade teacher, Mrs. Child, ironcally out of all last names. She was the first of many to shape and mold me.  Fast forward, more decades than I care to reveal, and I had been well into the second decade of my teaching career when my husband's opporutunity for advancement in his career took us to wonderful Idaho.  Shortly, after living here we found ourselves at Galileo.  There I had the opportunity to assist students in grades k-3 in a reading intervention program.  This is where this former 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teacher fell in-love kindergarteners.  Yup, please excuse my slang, that's correct I developed a LOVE for this age!  My husband and I are the proud parents of boy girl twins who attend here at Galileo.  They are in the 5th grade this year.  On a side note parents,  they grow up way too quickly.  I am a huge animal person and rescue every animal we own, well... depending if you count a fair goldfish win as a rescue.  We have a dog, a cat, and 3 fish.  As a family, we love together time outdoors and at almost any sport we can try. So there you have it....a little bit about me.
