Amy M. Price, M.Ed.

My name is Mrs. Price, and I'm extremely excited to join the Renaissance High team this year! This is my first year with the West Ada School District, but my 14th year as an educator.

I am a native of southeastern Idaho, but lived in the Phoenix valley for the past 19 years. I graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 2000, and started college at the University of Idaho (Go Vandals!). I transferred to Arizona State (Go Sun Devils) in 2002 where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. In 2008, I recieved my Master's degree in Education, specializing in Secondary Education. I started my career teaching 7th & 8th grade social studies. After 4 years, I moved to the high school level, where I taught Honors Cambridge IGCSE Modern World History, Regular World History, Intro to Psychology, AP Psychology, and Dual Enrollment Psychology.

History, Psychology, and the other Social Sciences are my passion, and I can't think of a better way to combine them than to be in the classroom. I am a firm believer in setting high, yet achievable, expectations for all students. I strongly encourage parent involvement, as the students and I are only two pieces of the puzzle. When we all work together, that is when our students succeed.
