Mr. Troy Cutlip

My name is Mr. Troy Cutlip and I am excited to have your student in my class this year.  This is my 22 year in education and I have taught many different subjects at the secondary level.  This year I am lucky enough to teach 8th grade World Geogaphy, 7th grade GT World History, and 7th grade Health and Life Skills.  I have my Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, a Single Subject Teaching Credential with Cross Cultural Language and Academic Development emphasis, and I just resently earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership along with an Administrative Credential from NNU.  Along with teaching, I have a coaching backgroud in football, volleyball, golf, and over 10 years of experience coaching baseball.

I have been married to my wife Carrie for 19 years, and we have two teenage sons. Caden is 17 and a senior at Rocky Mountain High School. Ryder is 15 and a sophomore at Owyhee High School. We also have a son, Cole, who passed away when he was two months old. If he had lived, he would have been 16 this year. We believe that we will see him again in Heaven.

I love to workout with my boys and help them work on their athletics, which include Baseball, Waterpolo, and Golf. One of my passions is our Great Nation and the Constitution of the United States. I taught US History for 18 years which included the Revolutionary War, Founding of our Nation, The Constitution, Bill of Rights, War of 1812, The Civil War, Reconstruction, and Responsibilities of Citizens.  As your students well know, my passions in life include my faith, my family, teaching, and athletics.  My prayer is that your students will not only learn a lot academically, but will learn some key skills to help them be successful in high school and beyond.

I am looking forward to an amazing year with students! You can reach me at cutlip.troy@westada.org. Go Star Cowboys!
