Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Kleber Almeida. This will be my 7th year teaching in the West Ada School District and my second with the Virtual School House.
I was born in Brazil where I spent my childhood and teenage years. I attended Lewis-Clark State College for 2 years before I earned my teaching degree from the Universidade de Uberaba, in Uberaba, Brazil. I worked for 3 years for the Universidade Federal do Triangulo Mineiro as the Assistant to the Editor for the Journal of the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine. I left that position to move to Boise in 2012 when I married my wife.
We have been happily married for the last 9 years. We have a wonderful 5 1/2 year old little girl that will be starting Kindergarten this year. We are all very excited about this new and exciting journey she is about to start.
Outside school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter and our 3 year old Lab/Golden retriever mix Louie. We enjoy riding bikes, swimming and spending time at the Lake Cascade at the family cabin. I also enjoy taking care of our lawn and several other plants.
As a good Brazilian, I am passionate about Soccer. Although I don't play it anymore, I still love to watch games as often as possible. I enjoy watching TV shows and playing PC games.
How is my name pronounced, you may ask. Well, it is fairly simple.
Kleber, sounds like Clever, but with a B.
Almeida -> Owl-may-duh
