Michelle Wooton

Teaching:

Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Michelle Wooton and I am a mentor teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. I have a number of years of education experience in different areas. From 2014-2016, I worked at "Just for Kids" in the Boise School district at their before and after school childcare program. In 2016, I was an intern at two Elementary schools in the Boise School District for my degree. In 2016-2017 I worked at a charter school headquarters. This will be my 5th year at Central Academy, and my 2nd year as a mentor teacher. For the first three years here, I was a paraprofessional. For the past two years, I have been a mentor teacher. I believe that every child can succeed and I pride myself on creating meaningful relationships with all students. I love hearing about students goals and future ambitions and helping them achieve any goal- whether it is a short term one or a long term one.

Family:

I grew up in Southern California (like a lot of Boise transplants) with my parents. Since January 2012, I have been in the best state and city ever, Boise Idaho! Although I miss the beaches of SoCal, I absolutely love it here and see myself staying here forever. Although I do not have my own kids yet, I have a 7 year old terrier mix (Manning) I got from the Idaho Humane Society when he was 4 months old. Boy does he keep me on my toes!

Hobbies:

In my free time, I enjoy reading (total book nerd!), taking my dog on greenbelt walks, catching up on my reality tv shows, and being outside hiking or having picnics in the park with my friends.
