Ms. Wendy Klocko
Hello, my name is Wendy Klocko and I am a part-time Science teacher for Virtual School House. I am new to VSH, but have worked in the West Ada District for several years. I am excited to get to know students and help them achieve academic success. I am passionate about education and learning opportunities, which come in many different forms. I am here to help students. I also believe in facing challenges and overcoming obstacles. I grew up in Idaho and have lived in Boise for most of my life. I was educated in the Meridian School District and continue to be amazed by the growth and changes that have occurred. I left Idaho for the Midwest in 1998. I spent time in Iowa, Minnesota, and Montana, before returning to Boise in 2007. I lost my husband to cancer in 2012, when my children were 7 and 10 years old. My life experiences led me to teaching. Life is too short to not do what makes you happy and fulfilled! I went back to school after my husband's death and earned a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education, with an emphasis in Biology. I received my initial teaching certificate in 2014. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with friends and family and love the outdoors. I also am a dog lover, although this is the first time in 14 years that I don’t have one of my own. I inherited my daughter’s cat when she went away to college, so I’m learning to love and appreciate cats. Update: I was without a dog for about two months and just got a new puppy a few days ago. My house is busy!
