Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Leslie Teal Price

Hello first grade families!

My name is Teal Price, and I am very excited to start my 12th year as a teacher in Boise, ID at Meridian Elementary!  I started my career in Dallas, TX with Dallas ISD where I taught 2nd and 1st grades at Silberstein Elementary.  After 3 years in Dallas ISD, I had an opportunity to be a founding kindergarten teacher with an incredible IB charter district called Uplift Education at Triumph Preparatory.  I taught kindergarten for 2 years and then moved into a K-2 Phonics Coach and K-4 Intervention Specialist role my last year.  After six amazing years of teaching in Dallas, my family relocated to the beautiful state of Oregon.  During our five years there, I taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade in the Woodburn SD.  My third year in Woodburn, I was promoted to the role of Instructional Coach.  I am grateful for these last 11 years.  I have worked with incredible colleagues, students, and families.  I am looking forward to this new chapter at Meridian Elementary.

Outside of teaching, I love to spend time with my family!  Mr. Price, Stella, Dax (English bulldog), and Spika (bearded dragon) love to keep me entertained.  We love walks, watching movies, going out to eat, and exploring the beautiful state of ID!  Fun fact about Mrs. Price . . . I was a professional ballerina, and love to support Ballet Idaho as well as local ballet companies.  You might find me taking adult ballet classes at Ballet Idaho very soon!

We are going to have an amazing school year!
