Our third ISAT test will be Thursday, April 25th! These are the official end-of-year tests which are much longer than the practice tests that we have been taking all year. Test-stamina is going to be very important! Please have kiddos well rested, fed and ready to go on testing days! BMSA will not be supplying cheese sticks for testinting this year so please feel free to pack extra healthy snacks (cheeze, fruits, and vegitables) in their lunch to help students compensate if they get hungry.
To work on ISAT stamina in math, I sent home a packet of math worksheets home with students. In class, we have 5 minute bursts of practice and increase the time throughtout the day. I will reward work with ROAR bucks! Please return these packets to school everyday to be completed by test time Thursday!
Another great way to prepare for ISAT tests is to go online to the ISAT portal to take sample test. The type of sample test to choose will be the grade 4 Literacy Assessment, ELA ICA Performance Task. It's important that parents help guide their studens through this process to ensure accuracy because the sample tests to not give out the answers. To access the online sample tests go to https://idaho.portal.airast.org/training-tests.stml
Please check the class calander for important dates coming up. There is Early Release on Tuesday, BMSA's food drive starts next week, and Parent Input Forms for class placement are due by April 26th. Forms are online this year and can be accessed at BMSA Parent Input Student Class Placement Form 2019-2020.
I welcome any questions, thanks!
