Mr. Clark

Hello parents!

Please check out the Calander tab on our class page for important events. 4th grade ski night is 1/30. This event is coordinated by our PE teacher but I will be attending with the 4th graders. Please email me if you have questions on how to prepare and what is to be expected. It is important for students to keep track of their equipment at all times. There is a place at Bogus Basin to buy food if needed, and take breaks in the lodge where there will be chaperones.

If you are interested in coding and looking towards Spring Break, there is a free BSU coding camp starting March 21st. More information can be found at this link: http://boisecodecamp.com/.

If your student is interested in art, Meridian School District will be starting it's art contenst with the winning entries being displayed at the District Service Center and Meridian City hall. I've mentioned this to students but have not recieved feedback if anyone is interested. If so, let me know and I will print out the requirements and send them home with the student. The deadline is sometime in March.

Homework #15 is to sort spelling words and glue them on a peice of paper/poster. This is the same as last week except I didn't have students put their words into a sandwhich bag. Words should be in the student's blue folder. Each student has different spelling words, so each has a different rule or pattern, in which to sort their words by. What is the rule or pattern of the sort? I've added a quick tutorial on word sorts attached to the homework.

Freckle and ReadWorks is always available to students online at home, and I will reward studetns for the time they spend working on them. Many of the students are using these online programs to help with their SMART goal that was just written. Login information for these sites can also be found on the Web Center tab on our web page.

I welcome all questions, thank you!
