I have a very special group of women that are like sisters to me! We are all educators, and live all over the United States and Canada. We talk daily. These women are my strength, my rock, my prayer warriors, and my inspiration. I am blessed to have them in my life!
Meet Mrs. Miller!
This is my 26th year of teaching! I have taught 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade and Special Education. I taught at Star Elementary for twenty-one years, and this is my fifth year at Barbara Morgan STEM Academy. I love finding new ways to use technology in my classroom that facilitate students creating. I lead our school's Student Technology Club, and afterschool Coder's Club. The best part of my job is spending time with kids learning every day!
I spent a lot of my summer in the mountains this year! We picked huckleberries, rode our 4-wheelers, stayed at the cabin, and went fishing! I went to San Antonio in June to the ISTE Conference, and I presented at the P20 Conference in Twin Falls in July. In August I attend Picademy, and learned all about ways to use a Raspberry Pi in our Coder’s Club! It was an awesome summer of learning and mountain time!
This is my amazing husband, Doug! He is a web developer and a part-time Worship Pastor at our church He LOVES to go fly-fishing! We love spending our weekends at our cabin in Lowman with my brother and sister-in-law who have a cabin right next door!
Four years ago my sweet, wonderful Grandma passed away. She was 91 years old, and loved to hear stories and see pictures of the kids in my classroom. She was one of the most loving influences in my life.
