Mrs. Robbie Kolman ASL 1-3
I teach American Sign Language (ASL) 1-3. This is my eighth year at Centennial High School and my eleventh year as a teacher. I love my job! It's a passion and so is working with students of all ages. I look forward to seeing my WONDERFUL students again and meeting my new ASL 1 learners! Welcome to our ASL family! You will meet our Deaf friends and parents of CHS and will participate in several Deaf events here at school and in the area. We have so much fun, guaranteed! Hearing stories about how students use what they've learned in real life situations is a highlight.
I'm happy to announce ASL 3 offers concurrent credit through BSU for college 101 and 102 ASL classes. You can earn eight (8) college credits for the school year. Take advantage of all dual credit classes offered at CHS. You'll be that much closer to graduating from college! Money is available to juniors and seniors through the Fast Forward program (fastforwardidaho.com)
A little about myself:
I'm a former Texan, graduate of BSU, and a lover of languages. In the past I taught Spanish and ELL, and now the beautiful language of ASL! My wonderful husband and cat are both learning to sign. :) Being a former dancer and musician, I enjoy all kinds of music and still try to play and dance when possible. I love eating all types of food, reading, teaching, watching movies, traveling, being active, learning new things, the fine arts, and getting to know people. Life is precious and so are people. Let's enjoy our ASL adventure together!
