Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Debbie Paxton

This is my eighth year at Centennial, and my thirteenth year teaching. While I have taught all high school grades including concurrent credit, I currently teach English 9 and Speech. I have a Master of Arts degree in English from BSU, and have focused my studies on writing, as well as editing and publishing.
In addition to teaching, I love to read, knit (all needlearts), write, and travel. Road trips are my favorite. I have traveled abroad with students in an academic travel program. These programs offer students the opportunity to receive academic credit for learning about other countries and traveling to those countries for hands-on cultural experiences.  Over the past several years, I have traveled to Spain, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, Republic of Ireland, the UK, Monaco, and Vatican City.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. My family moved to Idaho just before I graduated from high school, so I finished high school at Borah HS. I have also lived in the South for several years, and have visited over half of our beloved states as well as 13 countries.
