This is my 17th year in the Westada School District. This is my 12th year at Centennial High School as a Fitness Teacher. I am the Department Head of Health and Physical Education at Centennial High School.
I hold a Master's Degree in Education, Secondary Teaching Certificate in grades 6-12 Health and a K-12 Teaching Certificate in PE from Boise State University. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with an Emphasis in Health Promotion from Boise State University.
CROSSFIT & SPORTS PERFORMANCE EDUCATION
I am a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer and Crossfit Kids Trainer, I have a NASM Youth Exercise Specialist Certification and Certificates of Completion from EXOS (formerly Athletes Performance) Mentorship Courses. I have completed the Functional Movement Screen system through EXOS. I am a Certified Sports Performance Coach at OFF THE FIELD Performance Center and with USA Weightlifting. I am in the process of completing the EXOS Sports Performance Specialist certificate. Beyond these certificates of completion I have completed courses in Speed, Power and Strength, Conditioning, Recovery and Regeneration, Nutrition, and Corrective Exercise.
I was the only High School Teacher in the United States invited to attend the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches National Conference in Salt Lake City, UT (2014) and Nashville, TN. (2015) with the OFF THE FIELD Performance Staff. I taught the first Professional Development Course for Physical Education Teachers in the state of Idaho titled "Practical Application of Effective Movement" focused on educating PE Teachers on a long term functional movement framework to get the most out of our students.
I have coached soccer for the past 25 years at the recreational, club, Olympic Development Program, high school and collegiate levels with time at Northern Arizona University and Iowa State University Women's Soccer Programs 1995-2000. I coached the Centennial High School Boys Soccer Program for 10 years (2003-2012) and spent 2 years as the Head Coach of the Girls Program (2011-2013) before taking a coaching position with the Rocky Mountain High School Girls Soccer Program. Currentl, I am the Head Coach of Girls Soccer at Eagle High School. I am a Certified "A" Licensed Soccer Coach and a National Youth Licensed Soccer Coach through the United States Soccer Federation. Further, I have completed courses through the KNVB (Dutch National Soccer Federation), the English FA, and the Masterclass Sports Psychology Series for Coaches by Bill Beswick.

I say that "every day is game day". We prepare for it, we fuel for it, and we rest for it." With that being said , I teach fitness and performance classes to provide the most current research-based methodology's and performance systems to prepare students to get the most out of their bodies by improving performance and functional movements, decreasing injury potential, motivating students through education and helping students achieve their goals.
I enjoy CrossFit, Obstacle Course Racing specifically racing in the Spartan series, paddle boarding, wake surfing, camping and the outdoors, and coaching soccer.
