Mrs. Jackson

Hi! My name is Vicky Jackson. Welcome to the new school year. I am a Special Education Teacher at Chief Joseph School of the Arts and look forward to working with you and your child.  I love teaching students of all grade levels, and focus on their individual strengths and needs to help them become more successful in their classrooms. The focus of my instruction is to help students improve their reading, writing, math and behavioral skills through the use of research based curriculum, methods and strategies.

I grew up in Idaho and attended Idaho State University and Boise State University. In addition to my teaching degree, I have a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry, and an endorsement in Special Education. I have been teaching Special Education since 2000.  I am married to my college sweetheart and have four wonderful children. I now have four beautiful grandbabies that live nearby, allowing me to give them lots of hugs and love. Reading, making jewelry and crafts, camping and sailing are some of my favorite things to do, although those babies come first when I have time off.
