Ms. Melissa Stephenson

I am one of the art teachers at EHS, and I also teach Student Leadership.  This is my eighth year at Eagle High School. Before working at EHS, I attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington, and graduated from Boise State University with a B.F.A. in Art Education.  I have taught all sorts of things; technical writing, elementary after-school art, sophomore English, junior high art classes, student council, you name it.

High school art is an exciting chance to learn about the visual world around you and to improve your critical thinking skills and visual-spatial awareness (that's what helps you play Tetris). I look forward to sharing the joy and expressiveness of art with all of my students.  We're going to have a great semester!

In my free time, I enjoy watching hockey and baseball with my family, hiking, spending time with my many cats and fiance, and creating, whether it's sewing, cooking, painting, scrapbooking...I love it all!
