As an educator, my role is not only to guide students towards a deeper understanding of the world, but also to share in the discovery of each student's potential.  Welcome to 8th grade English Language Arts.  My name is Roma Blinn, and I am a native of Colorado, but have lived in Idaho since 1997.  My educational background is in Sociology, Education, and Organizational Leadership, with particular interests in art history, women's history, philosophy, animal advocacy, and social change. My hobbies include sketching, playing with my two dogs, reading, writing poetry, painting, travel, and relaxing to jazz music.  As a curious soul, I continue learning about the universe on a daily basis.  My interests in philosophy, art, history, animals (especially wolves and elephants), nature, the cosmos, peace-making, travel, geology, and poetry help me appreciate the complexity of the life experience.  I'm grateful for this teaching opportunity at Lake Hazel Middle School and hope to both teach my students and learn from them as well on our journey together.
