Mr. David Lorenzo
Thanks for visiting my 5th grade class website!
I've been teaching elementary school for 20 years, and have been in West Ada since 2005. I was born and raised in New Jersey, and after graduating from Penn State University, I moved to Washington, DC where I met my wonderful wife, Amy. We moved to Idaho in 2005.
I truly love being a teacher, and Hunter Elementary holds a very special place in my heart. I believe that each student is an asset and brings a unique skill set and perspective to the class. I enjoy my students, and fill our school day with humor, while maintaining very high academic and personal expectations. Students in my class learn to feel success after persevering through difficulty, a lesson that has prepared me for many personal and professional challenges in my life. When your child leaves my 5th grade class, they will be prepared, not only for the academic and personal rigors of middle school, but also for the challenges that they will face as they move into high school and beyond!
On a personal note, I have been happily married to my wife, Amy, for 16 years, and I'm the proud father of 2 beautiful daughters, Morgan and Clara. In my free time, I enjoy fly-fishing Idaho's trophy trout rivers, serving as a league administrator for the Idaho Yeti Men's Lacrosse Club, and most importantly trying to keep up with my girls!
