Mr. David Lorenzo
I have been a K-6 teacher for 18 years, first in Arlington, Virginia, and here in Meridian. I believe that each student is an asset, and brings a unique skill set and perspective to every classroom. In my role as the Instructional Coach at Perigrine, I support the creation of classrooms and grade level teams filled with happiness and humor, with very high academic and personal expectations of our students. Learning to feel success after persevering through a difficult task is a lesson that has helped prepare me for the challenges in my life, and is one of the most valuable lessons that is embedded in my practice as an Instructional Coach. As educators, it's our responsibility to prepare all students that move through Perigrine Elementary School to be prepared, not only for the academic and personal rigors of middle school, but also for the challenges that they will face as they move into high school, college, and their ultimately their professional lives.
On a personal note, I have been happily married to my wife, Amy, for 13 years, and I'm the proud father of 2 little girls, Morgan and Clara. In my free time, I enjoy playing lacrosse with the Boise Men's Lacrosse Club, being involved with my daughters' activities, camping in the mountains with my wife and family, and fly-fishing in the trophy trout waters of Idaho.
