Mrs. Burris

Hello!  My name is Kimberlee Burris and I am excited to be a 2nd grade teacher at Barbara Morgan STEM Academy.  I have been working at BMSA for three years - two as an as Instructional Coach and one (last year) as a 2nd grade teacher.   This will be year 20-something for me as a teacher.  I have spent the bulk of my career in West Ada School District, but I have taught in 5 other states.  I have taught every grade K-7 over the years, but second grade has a special place in my heart.  I am proud graduate of the University of Colorado, where I completed both my teaching certification and earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I am dedicated to positively impacting student achievement by partnering with families, as well as with my fabulous colleagues.  Outside of school, my husband and I are very busy with our 3 kids.  They are all active in sports and other activities, which makes our life quite exciting.  We are big sport's fans, and love cheering for BSU!  I am also an avid walker, hiker and cycler and love all of the wonderful places there are to explore in Idaho.
