Hello! My name is Kimberlee Burris and I am excited to be a 2nd grade teacher at Barbara Morgan STEM Academy. I have been working at BMSA for five years - two as an as Instructional Coach and three as a 2nd grade teacher. This will be year 20-something for me as a teacher. I have spent the bulk of my career in West Ada School District, but I have taught in 5 other states. I have taught every grade K-7 over the years, but second grade has a special place in my heart. I am proud graduate of the University of Colorado, where I completed both my teaching certification and earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am dedicated to developing kind, motivated and curious student learners. I strongly value partnering with families and my fabulous colleagues. Outside of school, my husband and I are busy with our kids, though our numbers at home are dwindling rapidly. Of our three kids (ages 21, 19 and 16) only our youngest still lives at home We love to camp and are big sport's fans. We love cheering for BSU and WSU (where are son is currently in college)! I am also an avid walker, hiker, paddleboard enthusiast and cycler, and I love all of the wonderful places there are to explore in Idaho.
