My name is Amy Birch and I grew up in Boise, Idaho. I graduated from Capital High School and then from Boise State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I recently completed my Master’s Degree in Education (December, 2017) with an emphasis is in Academic Coaching, Curriculum and Instruction, and Digital Integration in the classroom.
This will be my 21st year teaching in the West Ada School District. I’ve taught a multitude of grade levels; 1st, 2nd, 3rd and even 6th. Most of my experience has been in the primary grades. For the past two years, I have taught 3rd Grade at Hillsdale Elementary. I was at Mary McPherson Elementary for ten years prior to moving to Hillsdale. I have also taught at Eagle Hills Elementary, Meridian Elementary, and Lowell Scott Middle School. Teaching is my passion!
My family is my whole world! I have two wonderful children; Isaac, age 13 and Molly, age 14. My husband and I just celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary in March of 2018. I am very blessed, for sure.
I am so excited to be teaching 2nd Grade in the 2018-2019 school year, learning along with my students at Hillsdale Elementary!
