Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor of Arts in Humanities Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education
Hello! My name is Rochelle Heathcock. This is my 20th year of teaching and 14th year teaching at Mary McPherson. I received my degree in Humanities at Southern Oregon University, then completed a 5th year at Western Oregon University to get my elementary education degree. I moved to the Treasure Valley from the Willamette Valley in 1993. I taught 6th grade at Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Caldwell, Idaho, then took two years off to be at home with my children. When I went back to teaching, I got a job at Mary McPherson and taught 3rd grade for 4 years. I moved to 5th grade and have been teaching 5th grade for 10 years. I am married to Alan Heathcock and we have 3 children. My son is 19 and is a sophomore in the Thornton School of Music at USC. My middle daughter is 16 and is a junior at Boise High, and my youngest daughter is in 4th grade at Anser Charter School. Teaching is what I was meant to do. As August rolls around every summer, I am excited for the new class of 5th graders and the adventures to come. I look forward to getting to know each and every student and to challenge them to reach their full potential.
