Weekly Letters

Week of: Jan.13-17th

      No Lesson

      Dear family,

This Friday, January 17th marks the end of our 1st Semester.  This is a perfect time to check in with your student to see if they are low on any school supplies.  If you choose to send in more supplies, please make sure they are clearly marked with your student’s name.

This Friday, students will be given a new reading log format. We will be using this log for the rest of the school year. Expectations for minutes read are still the same and parent signatures are still required. Please talk with your child about the new format and have fun reading!

January book orders are in today’s Monday folder.  If you wish to place an order, please do so online using our classroom code KJLV4. Orders are due by Friday, January 17th.

This week in math students will be learning to multiply two-digit by two-digit numbers. This is our last topic before students will be given a unit final on Multiplication and Division.  Please keep encouraging your child to practice their multiplication facts as well as the algorithms for multiplication and division.

The reading logs for the Roaring Springs reading program were sent home with your student prior to Winter Break. They are due to school no later than March 13th.  They will not be accepted after that day!  Your child can send it in early if the 600 minutes are read.  If you need another form, please let me know.
