Degrees and Certifications:
B.S. Early Childhood and Special Education M.S. Leadership & Administration
Hi! I am Ryshel Golder, a first grade teacher here at Paramount! This year marks my 10th year teaching in the West Ada School District! Before teaching 1st Grade I taught for five years in Special Education. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Idaho in Early Childhood Education and Special Education (GO VANDALS). I have a Masters in Educational Leadership and Administration from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro. I was born in the Reno/Sparks, NV area and moved to northern Idaho in 2001 and moved to Boise in 2008. I married my husband Steven in October of 2015 and we became parents to our daughter Paislee in May of 2017! What a gift to be a part of the parent club.
Outside of teaching my hobbies include spending time with family and friends (including our two cats: Twinkletoes and Lucky), going to the beach, visiting Lake Tahoe (my favorite place on earth), going shopping, attempting new work outs, crawling around the house with with Pais, attempting to garden, decorating our new home, and more shopping usually on Amazon or Target! I love the color gold (hence the last name and my Vandals), I love history and often watch the history channel, my favorite season is late summer early fall, I am obsessed with sweet tea in the summer and skinny white mochas in the colder months. I stock up on Ferrero Rocher chocolates and love going to the Village at Meridian as often as possible. :)
I'm looking forward to all the adventures of this school year and getting to know my new set of Sailors along partnering with all of you. Should you ever need anything please feel free to contact me at any time.
